The Daru salam mosque reimagines traditional elements with a focus on light, openness, and community integration.
Exterior:
- Minimalist design: Clean lines, geometric shapes, and a focus on functionality define the exterior.
- Light and transparency: Large windows and skylights bathe the interior in natural light, fostering a sense of connection with the environment.
- Minaret: A reinterpretation of the traditional minaret.
Interior:
- Prayer Hall: Spacious and naturally lit, with a focus on creating a tranquil space for prayer.
- Qibla wall: The focal point of the prayer hall, it is adorned with geometric patterns, calligraphy, and subtle lighting effects to indicate the direction of Mecca.
- Open floor plan: Encourages interaction and promotes a sense of unity within the mosque.
Sustainable features: Natural ventilation, energy-efficient lighting, and water conservation measures are incorporated throughout the building.
